Cold Plunges

Cold water immersion done properly starts with a vessel built for it. The TimberChill Glacier Pro brings cedar construction and precise temperature control together in a format that holds water temperature consistently — the variable that matters most when you're committing to a regular cold plunge practice.

Cedar & Low-EMF Built

Questions We Get a Lot

Most practitioners aim for somewhere in the 50–59°F range, though some work as low as 39–45°F once acclimated. Where you land depends on your experience level and what you're using the practice for. A plunge with reliable temperature control lets you dial in your target precisely rather than guessing from a thermometer drop.

Cedar is naturally antimicrobial and handles sustained water contact well without warping when properly sealed and maintained. It also retains cold differently than a thin poly shell — the thermal mass is higher, so your water temperature holds more consistently between sessions. The tradeoff is that cedar requires periodic maintenance: light oiling and attention to drainage when not in use for extended periods.

Ice works for occasional use, but if you're plunging several times a week the cost and logistics add up fast. A built-in or paired chiller holds your set temperature passively, so the tub is ready when you are without pre-session prep. For anyone treating cold plunge as a consistent part of their routine rather than an occasional experiment, active cooling is worth accounting for in your budget.

We offer free shipping on most orders within the continental U.S. — Alaska and Hawaii are excluded. Cold plunges ship freight given their size and weight, so delivery details and any coordination for receiving the unit are worth confirming at checkout. If something isn't right, our 30-day return window applies — full terms are in our Return Policy.

About Our Cold Plunges

Cold plunge tubs are purpose-built vessels designed to support consistent cold water immersion at controlled temperatures. Unlike a cold bath improvised from a standard tub or a stock tank, a proper cold plunge holds a target temperature reliably, drains and refills efficiently, and is constructed from materials that tolerate sustained water contact without degrading. Cedar is a common choice for premium builds because of its natural resistance to moisture and the structural integrity it maintains over years of use. Who is a cold plunge for? Anyone building a contrast therapy protocol — pairing heat from a traditional or infrared sauna with cold immersion — will get more out of the practice when both ends of that cycle are controlled environments rather than improvised ones. Before buying, think about placement (indoor versus outdoor, drainage access, floor load), whether you want active chilling built in or a manually cooled setup, and how frequently you plan to use it. Frequency drives the case for active temperature control more than any other single factor.
